Yes I know, and used that to allow netbios ports.  However, when 
compared to alternatives, Mandrake seems a bit backward having only 
High or None settings for the firewall.

Let me explain the last statement:  When being used as a personal 
desktop, none of the servers listed in the firewall dialog are active; 
so they would be unchecked.  When this is done you have not only locked 
out intruders but you have locked yourself in aswell.  Only basic ports 
are open.
In other environments you are able to control how secure you want to 
be.  Moreover, connections initiated form yourself are free to use any 
port while unassociated inbound traffic is blocked.

Mandrakes' approach is secure but harsh and to difficult to customize 
because it requires the user to research ports used by thier apps.
