This is the first time in my linux experience with a frozen linux box in an official released version.
I tried to show my little bro how to build a linux-from-scratch box using Mandrake 9.0. Supprisingly enough, during the step of building gcc 3.2, it froze producibly. I downloaded and installed a vanilla 2.4.19 but it didn't help. I also installed gcc 2.9.6 instead of default gcc 3.2, but that didn't help either. Has anyone encountered the same problem?
