It appears that the DRI module is causing the hang problem with Mandrake 9.0 and the ATI Radeon MY chipset on a Compaq Evo N600c.
When I disable DRI - it works. I can safely switch between a console (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and X (Ctrl-Alt-F7) without the system freezing up - which normally requires a hard reset. Does that mean I can't have 3d acceleration on this chipset? Thanks, R.Fox
