Has anyone seen a situation where smb gives garbage for the name of the printer? This is using the RPMs directly with cups and smb and doing nothing to the default configuration (which looks fine for my purposes), but what I get with smbclient from any remote machine is
$ smbclient -U garym -L kato added interface ip=192.168.70.1 bcast=192.168.70.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Password: Domain=[MDKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.1a] Sharename Type Comment --------- ---- ------- IPC$ IPC IPC Service (Samba Server 2.2.1a) ADMIN$ Disk IPC Service (Samba Server 2.2.1a) the remote ho Printer - cannot open Printer all Printer I can't find reference to "the remote ho" in any Samba docs. The relevement smb.conf lines appear to be correctly setting the printer as a cups system, and I can print to that printer using the cups service from a remote linux machine. What's missing in the smb config? -- Gary Lawrence Murphy - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - TeleDynamics Communications - blog: http://www.teledyn.com/mt/ - biz: http://teledyn.com/ - "Computers are useless.
