Your misconception is that you can mix cooker RPMS and stable releases.
Inevitably you will encounter problems.

There is no issue with an upgrade scenario, as all packages installed on the
system that have updates are upgraded. In fact, if you added a cooker urpmi
source, and if you ran:

# urpmi --auto-select
you would be upgraded.

If you want mozilla-1.2, rebuild the SRPM on your machine, or wait for someone
else to rebuild on 9.0.

Of course, if *you* want to go and track every single package, and be able to
predict which package would break dependencies and which not *in the future*,
you can take over packaging all the RPMS. Practically, there is no way to do this.
