This disk was partitioned using win2k. It reads/writes fine under win2k (or
used to, until I switched to Mandrake).

Here's what cat /proc/partitions says:
major minor #blocks name

   3 0 8257032 ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc
   3 1 3582463 ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
   3 2 1 ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2
   3 5 248976 ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part5
   3 6 4425498 ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part6
   3 64 26732160 ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/disc
   3 65 850995205 ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part1
   3 66 271987362 ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part2
   3 68 25817 ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part4

I assume target1 is hdb, what should it be showing? My google search for
/dev/partitions didn't give me any idea on how to read the results.

I couldn't get parted to compile on my machine, so... looks like I'll have to
skip that one.
