[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|LATER | Version|2.0.1.1-4mdk |2.2.0-3mdk ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-07 18:00 ------- Reopening: 9.1beta3 still chooses via82cxxx_audio instead of snd-via82xx (the snd-via82xx module supersedes snd-via686). This results in a complete system freeze when esd is started. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: REOPENED creation_date: description: For a longer description of this problem I refer to the thread on cooker-list on the given URL. This problem might also be categorized under the 'kernel' category. I've done some testing and I have a strong suspicion that it is related to the use of the via82cxxx_audio module which Mandrake uses by default for the on-board AC97 audio of the Epox 7KXA motherboard. I have only been able to observe the problem with this module loaded. When replaced by the snd-via686 module I haven't seen it.
