Sending the mail works, but konqueror slows down considerably as the process consumes as much CPU cycles as it can get. Killing the process brings everything back to normal. There is also a notification in the taskbar for "kmailservice" which hangs there and disappears once the konqueror process is killed. Kmailservice runs great form the commandline.
