------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED]  2003-02-21 15:08 -------
I'm having problems with a USB1 MMC card reader. When I go into DiskDrake I can
see sda1 and can mount the filesystem.

However I cannot add a HardDisc link on the KDE3.1 desktop to the driver (/dev/sda1)
because I get the following error in KDE:-

The desktop entry file
/home/thingi/Desktop/Hard Disk
is of type FSDevice but has no Dev=... entry.

At one point KDE was adding a "Dynamic removable storage" icon - but I could not
access the device through this becuase of root permission problems and I/O errors. I
also got an error stating

"KDEInit could not launch 'kfmclient'" and bad path "http://file://";

In fact I still have to try to mount the MMC card twice via kdf to avoid the following
error:-

Called: mount /dev/sda1
/dev/sda1: Input/output error
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device
