MDK 9.1 RC1 results:

Still no connection.
same changes (ifconfig eth0 down/up, set DNS, set gateway) have no effect.

notice this:
at boot zcip finds a "valid ip address" at 169.255.168.something. the thing is,
my PC is in the university network, behind a NAT, so the address should be
something like 10.x.x.x

also, a call to the dhcp client (forgot is name, but is the only one installed)
does nothing to solve the problem.

Also, tryied every combination of configuration in draknet, to no success.

also, the first boot after installation, the computer hanged while running zcip
(just after it "recognized" my IP.

description:
I've been having problems trying to connect to the internet after installing MDK
9.1 Beta 3.
Drakconnect does nothing to solve the problem, even though I'm following the
same steps I took to configure MDK 9.0.

I'm also unsucessfull Trying to setup the network by hand. Setting the dchp
server, DNS, and gateways, and restarting the network has no effect.
The netwokr card is correctly reconzide (realtek 8139).

There is also a problem with gnome that might be related:
Gnome is never able to reconzie the localhost, even after correctly seting up an
entry in /etc/hosts and restarting the network.
