------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-22 14:46 ------- Created an attachment (id=212) --> (https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/attachment.cgi?id=212&action=view) /root/drakx/ddebug.log I didn't expect the computer to boot, when the bootloader _apparently_ failed to be copied to MBR. But here is the requested file. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: System: Dell Precision WorkStation 610 MT, dual Pentium II Xeon 450 MHz (Dechutes), three 9.1 GB Seagate Cheetah 9LP (ST39102LW) and Adaptec AIC-7890/1 and AIC-7880U SCSI storage controllers. There is also an Adaptec ARO-1130xA RAIDPort card on the system, which I don't think has any Linux drivers (?). After partitioning (see bug 2076 for description), I try to install the bootloader on MBR and get: An error occured Undefined subroutine &main::called. Clicking OK; returning to the same error message. End of first attempt to install RC1. The partitioning layout is: sda1: 125 MB ext3 /boot sda5: 784 MB Linux swap sda6: 7.5 GB Linux LVM --> lvm0 sdb1: 8.4 GB Linux LVM --> lvm0 sdc1: 8.4 GB Linux LVM --> lvm0 lvm0/1: 24 GB XFS / I installed RH 8.0 on this box a few days ago; the MBR was probably occupied with a GRUB bootloader when tonight's MDK 9.1RC1 install was attempted.
