select reboot from gdm login screen. (didnt even bother to log in)
"LILO - Descriptor checksum error" error message. This is coming from the MBR
which was supposed to have been left alone? I'll do whatever testing is asked

description:
installed lilo to /dev/hda2 instead of /dev/hda. First boot after installation
appears to work and system boots into linux properly.

Second boot after installation - "LILO descriptor checksum error".
Resolving this requires "FDISK /MBR" from a Win9x boot floppy to restore proper
booting.

Target system being installed to:
Linux Portege 7200CT from pcmcia boot disk.
Minimal installation: Gnome+internet workstation
