------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-02 04:45 ------- This still does not work with Mandrake 9.1 RC1. When running modemconf in a terminal window, the following messages are displayed: Error message from remadmin :Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Error message from remadmin :Xlib: No protocol specified Error message from remadmin : Error message from remadmin : Error message from remadmin :Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0 In text mode (not in a shell), the box drawing characters are still messed up and use various ascii characters making it extremely difficult to read the screen. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Mandrake 9.1 beta 3: Opening a shell and running modemconf (as root) generates an error about not being able to start an x-session 0:0 (or something like that, I'm not at that computer, right now). Running it in text mode works except that the characters that are supposed to make up the box characters all appear as funny ascii characters which makes the screen very hard to read. It's so hard to read that I'm pretty sure that someone who had never run the text version would not be able to use it.
