I have a CRT monitor and sub-pixel hinting is working fine (as seen thru xmag). The
only
problem is that the box for sub-pixel always reverts to unchecked, which means once
activated, it cannot inactivated.

Using mdk-9.1rc1. In kcontrol->fonts, enable anti-aliasing. Then enable sub-pixel
hinting.
Click apply and quit kcontrol. Start kcontrol again. Go to fonts and find that the
option
sub-pixel hinting has become unchecked !! I tried several times but kcontrol always
reverts to
the option unchecked.
