------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-09 00:06 ------- I've found what the problem is... but I havent' found a perminent solution. MDK insists on loading the module floppy.. Even though this laptop doesn't have a floppy drive 99.9% of the time (I did attach it one time just to see if it worked.) Ok so even though my fstab doesn't have a floppy in it, because this module is loaded MDK is spending it's time trying desperately to read the floppy. (BTW every time I start a KDE application it also try's to read the cdrom .... fails and goes on) But for some reason since I don't have a floppy drive on the box it goes nuts trying to read it until it finaly segfaults and dies. The solution is that once I've booted to then rmmod floppy and poof it works. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: A few days ago a new version of qt3 came out. (I used urpme to remove.) then I did urpmi kdebase-kdm said yes to everything it wanted to install. Still core dumps. Running cooker current. Base wm is iceWM for normal usage.
