------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED]  2003-03-09 04:59 -------
In fact I realize, I cannot even start a second WM in an Xnest window.

>From GNOME:

$ Xnest -ac :1 &
$ DISPLAY=:1 startkde

It just displays the background and flickers.

description:
when I try as a second user to start X with 'startx -- :1' the screen is
corrupted. If I then use ctrl-alt-f7 and ctrl-alt-f8 to come back to the X
session, it is back to normal.
I tried creating a new user and the X session only shows a blue screen. After
the magic ctrl-alt sequence, it shows the first screen of the first time wizzard.
