Here is the recipe for taco casserole from the our Special cookbook:

1 lb ground beef or 5 chicken breasts, cooked and sliced into small pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 8 oz bottle taco sauce
6 crumbled taco shells
1 large package grated Cheddar cheese
dash salt
dash pepper
dash garlic powder
1 can refried beans (optional)
Minced onion to taste

In a 12 inch skillet, brown ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion. Drain off all excess fat. Place meat in a large mixing bowl. Mix soup, taco sauce and crumbled taco shells with meat until well combined. Add cheese and mix well. Add refried beans and mix again. Pour into a large casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is melted.

A friend of mine is looking for the taco casserole that was in the Our
Special cookbook. I used to have it, but I no longer have the cookbook.
She doesn't have a computer so I told her I'd try to get it for her and
