Cherries Jubilee

Why take all the time pitting fresh cherries, making the sauce, and getting all
involved in having to add liquor and get that to light? Especially when you
can do short cuts. Granted, it will not be "gourmet", but there won't be
leftovers, either.

I credit my baby sister Susan with the original version of this dessert. You
will need

1 can cherry pie filling
1 T orange juice OR ORANGE LIQUER
GOOD quality ice cream - Vanilla, French Vanilla or a Chocolate

Company shows up...heat the cherry pie filling and juice/liqueur in a small
saucepan.
Portion the ice cream out into bowls or ice cream dishes, and top with a few
tablespoons of the hot pie filling.
Serve with decent butter cookies and you have a great dessert.

You can also try these variations:

Apple pie filling with cinnamon ice cream
Apple pie filling with rum and Vanilla ice cream.
Raisin pie filling with rum on Vanilla ice cream
Peach pie filling with amaretto on Vanilla ice cream
Strawberry pie filling with liqueur of choice on Vanilla.

etc. There are many possibilities, and all of them delicious...
