Salisbury, Onion Gravy
1 (10.5 ounce) can Campbell's Condensed Onion Soup
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
In bowl, combine 1/3 cup soup with beef, crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Shape
into 6 oval patties. In skillet, brown patties; pour off fat. Gradually
blend remaining soup into flour until smoothe. Add to skillet with remaining
ingredients; stir to loosen brown bits. Cover; cook over low heat 20
minutes, or until done. Stir occasionally.
Makes 6 servings.
