MANHEIM WHITE CAKE
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans
3 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat Oven to 350°F.
Cream butter, and sugar. Mix and sift dry ingredients and add alternately with 
milk
to the first mixture. Add pecans, vanilla and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake as a loaf or in layers. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center 
comes
out nearly clean, about 50 minutes.
Frost with your favorite frosting.  Enjoy.
