Caramel Frosting
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

In a saucepan melt the butter. Add brown sugar: cook over low heat 2
minutes: stirring constantly. Add milk and continue cooking until mixture
comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Gradually add powdered sugar. Add
vanilla and mix well. If necessary thin with a few drops of cream. Use to
frost a rectangle cake or a layer cake.
