Roasting turkey in a bag question.
I've never used a roasting bag to roast a turkey but I'm curious to try it. In the recipes that I found, it says to roast the turkey in the bag until it reaches 180 to 185 degrees. The turkey needs to rest for 20 minutes. Wouldn't this make the turkey overdone? I usually roast a turkey until it reaches 165 degrees and then let it rest. I like to experiment different ways to roast turkeys and thought that I might give this a try.
Thanks.
Marleen
