As far as rice in the oven goes, put the rice in a greased casserole, add twice as much boiling water as you have rice, cover the casserole and bake it for 35 minutes. I usually dissolve a bouillon cube in the boiling water. Works great, especially if you're baking chicken or other meat.

Hi all, can any one tell me two things.

1. can long grain rice be made in a slow cooker or crockpot? If so how? 2. Can long grain rice be baked in an oven? if so how? I'm using 1 cup
rice so if I'm right I'd need 2 cups water is this right?

thanks in advance.
