Why it doesn't squash pancakes is because the plates are like pans and
when closed have plenty of hollow space between them. The george foreman
book I have was the original from national Braille press and I don't think
that has waffles in it since that set of plates wasn't available at
publication. So one of these days I'll get me a waffle recipe I like and
try it out and report back. I have to go to grocery store tonight since
we're likely to have snow Monday night into Tuesday and most times snow is
negligible but every so often Lady Hull really shakes her cloak out over
