Hi, Gail, Any large pot with a heavy bottom will do for the stew. You could make it in the crock pot also, and change the cooking time accordingly. I wouldn't use a wok for this, because a wok is generally used for fast cooking or steaming, not long slow cooking like stew. Hope this helps.
