Hi Shannon, Here from Food Dictionary at Food.com is your answer!
This spice is a blend of warm spices. Typically ingredients are:
cinnamon, nutmeg,
cloves, allspice and mace. Pumpkin pie spice adds a nice extra
pumpkin taste to
pumpkin pie.
Ingredient
Season: available year-round
Substitutions:
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon + 1/4 tsp ground ginger + 1/8 tsp ground
allspice + 1/8 tsp
ground nutmeg = 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Hi Shannon,
I don't have those amounts in my memory bank, but if you don't get an answer
from someone else, I'll be glad to see what I can find out for you.

Subject: [CnD] substitution for spice

I don't have pumpkin pie spice and the pumpkin muffin recipe I want to try
calls for it. Does anyone have the ingredients of spices I could make to
substitute for the pumpkin pie spice? I think I have everything I need as I
make my pumpkin pies with the same spices. Thanks for any suggestions.
Shannon
