Recipe 1:
2 cups diced apples,
 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup vegetable oil,
 1 cup flour,
 1/4 tsp salt,
 1 tsp vanilla,
 1/2 c chopped nuts,
 1 egg beaten,
 1 tsp baking soda,
 1 tsp cinnamon.

place apples in mixing bowl, add sugar, allow to stand 1/2 hour. add
oil and egg and blend well. sift all dry ingredients on apple mixture.
then add nuts and mix well. add vanilla and mix well. turn into
well-greased 8/8 pan, cool 10 min in pan, serve warm with whipped
cream or serve cold.

Recipe 2:
Bisquick caramel Apple Cake
6 servings

1-1/2 cup original Bisquick
2/3 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

2 medium cooking apples, peeled and sliced (2 cups)

1 tbsp lemon juice

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 cup boiling water

ice cream or whipped cream if desired

1. Heat oven to 350  degrees. mix Bisquick and sugar in medium bowl,
stir in milk until blended.

2. Pour batter into ungreased sq pan 9-9-2 top with apples, sprinkle
with lemon juice, mix brown sugar and cinnamon sprinkle over apples,
pour boiling water over apples.

3. bake 50-60 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

serve warm with ice cream.  For a festive presentation, sprinkle with
cinnamon or nutmeg.
