CINNAMON ROLL RAISIN BISCUITS 

3 c. biscuit mix (like Bisquick)

3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. water

3/4 c. raisins

2 tbsp. shortening, divided

1 c. powdered sugar, divided

2 1/2 tsp. water

 

Combine biscuit mix, water, raisins, and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Turn dough onto 
surface sprinkled with biscuit mix. Knead lightly 3 or 4 times. Divide dough

into 2 balls. Roll each ball to about a 10 x 6 inch rectangle. Spread each with 
1 tablespoon shortening. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

Sprinkle evenly over each. Roll up dough in a jelly roll fashion beginning with 
longest side. Cut into 1 inch pieces. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 13 minutes. Combine remaining 3/4 cup sugar, 2 
1/2 teaspoons water and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Spread this glaze on warm biscuits.

Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
