I got this recipe from Sally.
This recipe also doubles easily for more dumplings!
I use it when I make chicken and dumplings
Dumplings
One cup flour
two tsp's baking powder
1/2 tsp salt.
1/2 cup milk
two tbsp's salad oil
Stir until all is moistened. I have added just a little more flour for more
easily handling but you want them to be somewhat moist.
Drop on boiling
stew. Cover tightly and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for
12-15 minutes. (do not lift the cover until finished cooking. When
measuring each dumpling dip the spoon in the hot soup as the dumplings will
slide off the spoon more easily that way. I usually go in a clockwise
fashion when putting the dumplings in the soup.
