I recently got a regular waffle iron that makes two square waffles at a time, and a Belgian waffle maker that makes four Belgian waffle squares at a time. Has anyone found they had good results with putting the mix on the iron before preheating? If not, how have people managed the task when it's so hot? Also, any way to get them crispier?
