For the lady asking about the baked potato in the microwave. I bake mine also and minutes of how long you leave it in the microwave will vary from one microwave to another so you may have to experiment a little on the timing and size of the potato! But what I do I turn my potato several times why cooking it! I also dry mine afterwards before I put it in amicrowave! If you have the plastic to wrap it in instead of papper towel that helps keep it from getting over done also and drying out as much! but if have papper towel try turning it from one side to another and that will help. I had the same problem but turned it from one side to another so try that and see if it helps but on time that will vary so you will have to experiment on time! Hope that helps! -------------------------------------------- On Wed, 10/8/14, cookinginthedark-requ...@acbradio.org <cookinginthedark-requ...@acbradio.org> wrote:

I usually put the cheese on and let it melt, without adding it to the microwave anymore. making me hungry! This is from allrecipes.com and this is for 1 potato. If you want to make more than one, put the desired amount on a microwave safe plate; check for doneness with a fork as you might have to add a minute or so for each potato. Okay, here is the Google method. Hope this helps. Scrub the potato, and prick several time with the tines of a fork. Place on a plate. Cook on full power in the microwave for 5 minutes. Turn over, and continue to cook for 5 more minutes. When the potato is soft, remove from the microwave, and cut in half lengthwise. Season with salt and pepper, and mash up the inside a little using a fork. Top the open sides with butter and 2 tablespoons of cheese. Return to the microwave, and cook for about 1 minute to melt the cheese. Top with remaining cheese and sour cream, and serve.
