Banana Nut Cake 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cup shortening 2 eggs, beaten 3 ripe bananas, mashed 2 cups flour 1 tsp soda 4 tbsp buttermilk 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup pecans
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 2 layer pans or loaf pan. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add beaten eggs and mashed bananas. Sift flour and soda, and add to the banana mixture; add buttermilk, vanilla and pecans. Bake for 25 minutes for layer pans, or 40-45 minutes for loaf pan.
