CAKE BROWNIES BROWNIE: 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup oil 1 cup water 4 T. unsweetened cocoa 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla CHOCOLATE FROSTING: 1/2 cup butter 3 T. unsweetened cocoa 1/3 cup buttermilk 1 pkg. confectioners sugar 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. Grease, flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. Mix 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup oil, water, 4 T. cocoa together in small sauce pan. Bring to boil. Add cocoa mixture to flour, sugar in a large mixing bowl, beat until smooth. Add eggs, baking soda, buttermilk, vanilla. Mix well. Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake 20 minutes. Prepare frosting while brownies are baking. Put all frosting ingredients in medium saucepan, heat. If frosting is too thin, add a little more confectioners' sugar. Do not boil. Frost brownies immediately after removing from oven. Cut into squares when cooled. "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.
