I have two questions. It says -bine the shortening but the recipe says butter. 
Also, can you make this in a 9-13 pan?

Cake:

1/2 c. butter

1 c. sugar

1/2 c. water

2 sq. melted chocolate or 1/2 c. cocoa

2 eggs, unbeaten

1 1/2 c. flour

1 tsp. soda

1/2 c. sour milk or cream

1 tsp. vanilla



Cream the shortening 1 minute. Add the sugar gradually. Beat rapidly. Stir
chocolate; add water smoothly; add to the mixture. Add eggs and beat after
each

one is added. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla.
Beat well. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.



FROSTING:



1 lb. 10x sugar

1/2 c. cocoa

1/4 lb. butter

1/8 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla extract

6 tbsp. milk



Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler. Place over simmering water;
blend ingredients well until smooth. Remove from heat. Cool, stirring
frequently,

until frosting reaches desired spreading consistency. Yield: frosting for 2
(9 inch) round layers or sheet cake.  Enjoy.
