Don't know if anyone has already observed this:
(Fedora Core 14 x86_64, latest coot package installed, I love the FC14
coot package, many thanks to the person who compiles it for FC14!!)
Coot works fine until you set your preferences to not show startup tips.
On next start you get the following:
