I am not sure that that is what Sebastiano means. I think he means the
font of the GUI - and if so, I agree - whenever I have had occasion to
install coot from one of Bill's packages, I find that the fonts are too
big (they used to be smaller and nice). It is something to do with the
theme.
Bill says:
If you have a .gtkrc-2.0 file specifying a font, comment that line out.
To tweak the theme:
% more /sw/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
include "/sw/share/themes/Glossy_P/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
gtk-font-name = "Sans 13"
