Hi Nat,

this was also discussed on the ccp4bb. See https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind1307&L=ccp4bb&F=&S=&P=17373

Quote: 27" LG display, reference DM2780D. Cheaper than Zalman and apparently better service. You just need to plug it in through an HDMI-HDMI cable to your Mac and it works just great. In COOT, you activate stereo
just through the "Zalman stereo" option.

Hi Nat,

get a cheap linux box (£300), put a Quadro 400 or 600 in (£100) and attach an ASUS VG278H (£500), lean back and enjoy! When my Zalman saw this setup, it committed suicide and is now used as a tea tray.

Is a Zalman 3d monitor still recommended? I hesitate to buy one,

I have an iMac running 10.8.2.

Should I risk buying an unsupported Zalman? Any other reasonable
option, or should I just set up a linux box for stereo?

Thanks,
Nat
