For a bit of amusement, here is an example I made a little while ago illustrating how Coot regularizes/minimizes 3-10 helicies with its own "force-field" (not fitting to density): https://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/personal/pemsley/coot/files/movies/3-10-helix-regularize.mov Coot is often "on your side" when it comes to rebuilding - but not in this case... you need extra help.
