Greetings - I am lost getting coot to run (see below the signature for fine details). I have started `apt install` in piecemeal fashion and am getting nowhere (also see below for details), e.g. installing libguile-3.0 but it is already installed. This is usually a sign of user error, and having looked around the usual places, now I must try asking a question before causing more trouble :
Are there specific environment variables coot needs to know about or have set upon startup?
