Hi Paul:

I found a work-around for the non-centered molecule issue:

brew install betterdisplay (or get it from
https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay?tab=readme-ov-file )

Start BetterDisplay.app

From the menu “Displays and Virtual Screens”, create a new virtual screen with
the aspect ratio of the problematic primary display (21:9 for my 3440 x 1440
monitor).

In display preferences, mirror the real display to the virtual display. Choose
the retina resolution to taste.

Launch coot

This should work for a projector or any internal or external display.

I guess the 1440 p monitors are notorious for not playing nice with Apple.

HTH,

Bill

PS: As an added bonus, my keyboard display brightness controls finally work.
