Hi all, I recently began to use Coot-1 and am slowly getting used to it (currently on 1.1.19). However, there is one thing that I still haven't adjusted to and would like to know what my options are. Even if I start Coot-1 from the command line, it will always open the same set of files that I am already working on, no matter what directory I am in. In previous versions it would read the preferences file 0-coot.state.scm from the current directory, or create one if it didn't exist. This was very handy when hopping from one project to another, which I have to do on a daily basis, so I could in fact have several instances of Coot running at the same time that didn't overlap. Is it possible to restore this behaviour in Coot-1? I can't even work out what the Coot-1 equivalent of 0-coot.state.scm is.
Also, Coot-1 always opens the file selector in "Recents" rather than the last directory I visited. Say I just opened a PDB file involving several clicks to get to the directory and I want to open the corresponding MTZ file in the same place without having to do all those clicks again. Is there a way to set this up? I know I can use drag and drop into the file selector window as long as I have a Finder window open, but is there another way? Sorry if this has been asked before...
