The tests should also include backwards compatibility tests of the XML files. I
am reminded of this in the logs of a test run

is a deprecated filesystem name. Use "hdfs://localhost:57665/" instead.
Somewhere a test is using a deprecated value. Tests for the configuration files
should verify that the old names and old value formats still work.
