and one more update: SVN is live but read-only. I haven't looked at
eu.svn.apache.org which is the EU mirror that relays all svn commits to
svn.apache.org, but provides a mirror for read access to the repo. Given
the central SPOF is down, I'd be surprised if you could commit via it either
