So the safest thing might be just restore the totally unsupported getCallerClass and submit a JEP with a proposal to add a standard API.
-Alan. Is this still possible? I had the impression that reverting the removal of that method wouldn't be a viable option. I like Nicks patch but more time for discussion wouldn't hurt anyway - if only to properly disperse remaining objections and concerns.
