Minor edits please:

in @param and @return use the type name when referring to the type.
For example, TimeUnit vs timeUnit (the parameter).

in @throws, use the parameter name instead of "the unit";
For example,
+     * @throws IllegalArgumentException if timeUnit cannot be converted
