Hi Daniel, yes - that looks like what we observe, see Volker's mail. It seems to work with testing 6.9.5 but not with 6.9.10 or 6.9.11.
So for my jaxp testing I can use 6.9.5, I'm so happy :) But, as for fixing with the new testng, will you look into this? Shall I open a bug?
