Deprecated Methods - Clean up

Hi

I am compiling Hadoop outside of 'ant' - using IntelliJ and I'm seeing 
many deprecated methods are still used in Hadoop

For exampke, UTF8, NetUtils.getServerAddress, Path.isDirectory().

Is there a plan to clean these up?
