The Python core lists are generally free of it, but the vitriol directed at GPL and AGPL advocates on the internet at large can be astonishing in its hostility (usually by people exploiting permissive licenses to write proprietary software, and being upset when folks use the legal system to create an obligation for reciprocal sharing).
