There is a sample instance of Zulip running at https://chat.zulip.org
You can log into that with your Google credentials, GitHub credentials, or
you can sign up for an account on that site.
That site is what the Zulip project uses for their own communication.

If you log into that and test drive it a bit, do you think you would be
able to live with it?

I realize that everyone has their preferences and tools that they are used
to over the years,
but it is important to get some basic, "I could live with it" feedback from
experienced Python devs.
