i just realised that using a red/white cable to stereo won’t work for red/white outputs, will it?
at least i don’t think they will. i’d need to send this signal to speakers or some kind of source that has enough power, since i don’t think these outputs provide power. mannnnnnn lol Thanks, Gagan > On Jan 12, 2023, at 5:19 AM, Gagan Sidhu via Coreaudio-api > <[email protected]> wrote: > > top of the morning lads > > <Screenshot 2023-01-12 at 5.16.47 AM.png> > 🤘👍🏻 > > that’s whatcha like to see! no overloads after 12+ hours. looks like today > will be focusing on why i have no output. > > hoping it’s a case of adding a terminal output audio property! > > Thanks, > Gagan > >> On Jan 11, 2023, at 7:54 PM, Gagan Sidhu via Coreaudio-api >> <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >> >> in the meanwhile, i got the SPDIF and analog firing at the same time. >> >> unprecedented on an APPUL OS. i think the drop in the multichannel sampling >> rate is expected, but not sure. >> >> i tried finding good sources for multiple interrupt filters on one device >> but i don’t think that’s how they work. >> -i’d need MSI >> -and i don’t think this card has MSI (correct me if i’m wrong >> clemens [he’s CC’d]) >> >> <Screenshot 2023-01-11 at 7.46.53 PM.png> >> >> >> >20min later analog is holding steady ~80.5KHz while SPDIF staying at >> >88.20x >> >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-rS174AUT0 >> <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-rS174AUT0> (i know clemens remembers this >> song) >> >> >> Thanks, >> Gagan >> >>> On Jan 8, 2023, at 7:52 PM, Gagan Sidhu via Coreaudio-api >>> <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> >>> wrote: >>> >>> just gotta make it spit out something i can hear now, boys! >>> >>> the numbers look GREAT! everything must be working right if i see that >>> sample rate consistency during the “start IO” test, no? >>> >>> <hallizzab_optimised.gif> >>> Thanks, >>> Gagan >>> >>>> On Jan 7, 2023, at 5:32 PM, Gagan Sidhu via Coreaudio-api >>>> <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> >>>> wrote: >>>> >>>> issue with volume controls was that they were being created in a function >>>> with no parameters (engine is a class variable). >>>> >>>> so when i bound them, the garbage collector would trash them after the >>>> function returned. >>>> >>>> so i just passed this class variable as a parameter and now the controls >>>> bind. but on that note: is there a limit of 7 controls for an engine? >>>> -i couldn’t add the full 8, strangely enough. >>>> >>>> oh and, regarding the clipping, i was missing a taketimestamp() call so >>>> that’s why teh clipping wasn’t being called. >>>> >>>> however now i have to figure out the sample buffer arithmetic from the >>>> driver-side, as something isn’t lining up >>>> >>>> exciting times my baddie laddies >>>> >>>> what a long road this was. i shouldn’t get too introspective yet. >>>> >>>> <Screenshot 2023-01-07 at 5.27.02 PM.png> >>>> Thanks, >>>> Gagan >>>> >>>>> On Jan 6, 2023, at 6:36 PM, Gagan Sidhu via Coreaudio-api >>>>> <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> >>>>> wrote: >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> hi, >>>>> >>>>> so i followed the sample code and tried to add basic controls. >>>>> >>>>> for some reason or another, hallab does not even let me do anything with >>>>> them. >>>>> >>>>> is this because the clip functions aren’t being called? i was going to >>>>> ask all of you about that. is there an easy way to test why this is >>>>> happening? >>>>> >>>>> the static library is exactly how they specified and i’m not sure why >>>>> it’s not getting called. >>>>> >>>>> i thought getting volume may be independent of that, but maybe it’s >>>>> related. >>>>> >>>>> any time i’m playing something in itunes and i load the driver, it stops >>>>> and refuses to take any data. sounds to me like that would be the clip >>>>> function disconnect. >>>>> -but does that explain the volume control issue as well? are they ‘down >>>>> stream’ after the clip functions in terms of initialisation? >>>>> >>>>> it’s nice seeing all of those formats, not going to lie. >>>>> -and i can confirm they are being changed at the hardware level without >>>>> issue (at the hardware level). just need to figure out what i’m not >>>>> seeing. >>>>> >>>>> pretty please, grizzled vets? i mean, APPUL DID go x86 for a bit. let’s >>>>> have something to show for it >>>>> >>>>> is there an easy way to test why the clip functions aren’t being called? >>>>> >>>>> Thanks, >>>>> Gagan >>>>> <Screenshot 2023-01-06 at 4.44.40 PM.jpg><Screenshot 2023-01-06 at >>>>> 6.14.10 PM.jpg><Screenshot 2023-01-06 at 6.16.17 PM.jpg> >>>>> >>>>> _______________________________________________ >>>>> Do not post admin requests to the list.
